I came across an interview of Mr Tony Buzan on an old copy of a magazine here in Abu Dhabi. I raised my curiosity & here I am writing to you.
I love your blogs.

Thank you

AuroAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04897579466705491839noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7127174961025296723.post-82286932668341367652012-12-04T09:01:29.248+01:002012-12-04T09:01:29.248+01:00I'm very happy to count a new follower.

In Belgium, we have some initiatives here and there thanks to teachers but nothing official. The educational system is old and our leaders have some difficulties to reconsider the model. Are you aware of any trials into the effectiveness of MM's at all?

I've been aware of Tony and MM's for over a decade. It surprises me that this technique is not employed by all schools. Indeed, concrete examples are really missing and I'm doing my best to fill that gap with the blog.

Your question about having a true scientific experience and get meaningful results is very valid. I'm having more and more contacts with teachers and the classroom is probably the best place to conduct such an experience. The challenge will be to create comparable groups and check the differences between those using mind maps and those not using it and ideally several years. This is a very good idea and I will include it in my long term project.

PhilPhilippe PACKUhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08315326577847749179noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7127174961025296723.post-9534725892396134432012-11-25T19:19:50.752+01:002012-11-25T19:19:50.752+01:00Thank you Philippe for this first report. This is ...Thank you Philippe for this first report. This is an important experience that you share with the Mind Map community as it brings concrete examples of how MM can contribute in helping young students improve their understanding and recalling of knowledge. Hopefully by the end of the academic year in June we can have better evidences based on facts. One question: How could we use this first experience in a more "scientific" way. I mean having objectives and see how MM can help to achieve them? How would it be possible to measure their progress?
Olivier Herlinhttp://www.beamable.orgnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7127174961025296723.post-74422175921625279692012-11-22T23:44:39.692+01:002012-11-22T23:44:39.692+01:00Many thanks Benjamin.

I new about mind maps but I wasn´t sure whether my thinking was right in the building map process. But now I can see how you think when you make a mind map, so I can have a helpful framework.
Thanksjanowskyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03557621781233007915noreply@blogger.com
