Indeed the one I designed for the kids is a success, provided that the message is coherent and reinforce everyday. As I used to say, the mind map is not the solution on its own but it is a fantastic support for doing things differently and more efficiently.

Thank you for your feedback and I hope other visitors will share more stories like yours.
PhilPhilippe PACKUhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08315326577847749179noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7127174961025296723.post-9044606626020164952012-09-11T01:44:22.786+02:002012-09-11T01:44:22.786+02:00Very inspiring. This post has a lot of originality and creativity and I bet it works for your kids.

I created one myself but for the home's maid. She helps in doing the domestic service and I wanted to look for a way to explain the daily chores, and Voilà, a mind map here goes! It worked very well.

Thank you very nice work.

ErickAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7127174961025296723.post-1274571780578968982012-02-04T23:11:34.560+01:002012-02-04T23:11:34.560+01:00Thanks for your support Chris.

Ask him what he is ready to commit to respect before starting any kind gaming and build the map with him.Philippe PACKUhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08315326577847749179noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7127174961025296723.post-23798564366188178742012-02-01T22:34:55.402+01:002012-02-01T22:34:55.402+01:00Fantastic. I remember my kids loving those small cards you could find in free commercials dropped on your mailbox.
I have the same problem at home with my youngest son. Dirty, messy bedroom, playing endlessly with Playstation 3, lazy at completing homeworks and lessons, household tasks etc...
Problem: He is 13 years old. Eventhough he is familiar with mind mapping, coming from Dad means a stuff imposed by an older generation... and at 13 years old you can guess what it means. Resistance to change, conflictual conversations.
Do you think your system could still be put into use and initiated for teenagers ?
Your article motivates me to try. Probably it needs to be adapted.

It will be interesting to monitor the impact of your system and how it evolves with your children while they grow up. Especially when they will reach the age of 12 and start secondary education.Olivier Herlinhttp://www.beamable.orgnoreply@blogger.com
